The Emmy award-winning Multimedia team at UConn Health produces a wide range of videos each year, from broadcast television segments to short-form content optimized for social media. Through skilled cinematography, storytelling, and creative editing, we showcase UConn Health’s three-part mission of groundbreaking research, world-class education, and compassionate patient care.

Video Priorities

UConn Health provides video production services in support of the following institutional priorities:

  • Clinical Marketing and Patient Engagement: Our Multimedia team creates videos that highlight patient stories, clinical programs, innovative treatments, and groundbreaking research for external audiences, helping raise awareness of UConn Health’s expertise and impact.
  • Student Recruitment: The team produces promotional videos and targeted recruitment content designed to attract prospective medical, dental, graduate, and PhD students by showcasing academic programs, student experiences, and educational opportunities.

  • Signature UConn Health Events: The Multimedia team provides video production support for events of broad institutional significance. These videos promote awareness of UConn Health’s achievements, celebrate key milestones, and highlight the work of our academic medical center.

Video Consultation

When UConn Health Multimedia is unable to produce a particular video, media production can be outsourced through contracted vendors. In the case of outsourcing, we can provide the following services:

  • Consultation: This includes guidance in the vendor selection process and supplying creative feedback.
  • Brand Standards: This includes working with the vendor to ensure the work adheres to UConn Health standards and quality controls.

Never Giving Up

When Jean Barden, a vibrant, active grandmother, suddenly began struggling to swallow and breathe, her family feared the worst. But UConn Health’s neuromuscular team refused to give up on her care and expertly navigated Jean through her myasthenia gravis diagnosis and treatment - helping her regain her strength and love for life.

Honoring Life Through Learning

The recently renovated Human Anatomy Lab plays an integral role in the education of UConn’s medical and dental students. Thanks to the Anatomical Donation Program, students benefit from a hands-on experience that is unique and serves as an important complement to other educational tools.
